AI literacy duty & prohibitions apply IN FORCE
Article 4 AI-literacy obligation takes effect for all providers and deployers, alongside the ban on unacceptable-risk practices.
Article 4 has required sufficient AI literacy in staff since 2 February 2025 — and from 2 August 2026 national market-surveillance authorities can enforce it. The Digital Omnibus delayed the high-risk deadlines; it did not delay this. Our two-tier curriculum — CPD accreditation in progress with an independent accreditor — delivers the training and a verifiable evidence trail. Founding cohorts open October 2026.
Role-appropriate training for the whole workforce and for the people accountable at the top.
Self-paced online course with enforced completion and graded assessment — your Article 4 evidence trail for the whole workforce.
Half-day facilitated briefing on obligations, liability, governance structures and oversight duties — for the people who carry the accountability.
What AI is (and isn't), how modern systems work, and where they show up in everyday tools.
The regulation's structure: unacceptable, high, limited and minimal risk — and what each means in practice.
What's banned outright, what counts as high-risk, and how to recognise both in your workplace.
Disclosure duties, general-purpose AI rules, and what they mean for the tools your teams use.
Practical, responsible use of AI at work — including generative AI, data handling and common pitfalls.
Your organisation's AI usage policies, and how to escalate when something goes wrong.
What the Act requires of your organisation, and where personal and corporate accountability sits.
Structures, roles and reporting lines for effective AI oversight — from board to operations.
Deployer obligations when buying AI: due diligence, contracting and ongoing assurance.
Interrogating AI risk registers, allocating oversight responsibilities, and evidencing diligence.
On completion, every learner automatically receives a branded digital certificate — QR/URL-verifiable by anyone, shareable to LinkedIn — recording the course, score, completion date, certificate ID and CPD hours.
We retain the full issuance log, giving your organisation an independent, audit-ready Article 4 evidence trail for market-surveillance authorities, customers and insurers.
Sample certificate for illustration — final design may vary. CPD points shown are subject to accreditation, currently in progress.
The Digital Omnibus postponed high-risk obligations to December 2027 — but Article 4 AI literacy is enforceable by national authorities from 2 August 2026, and Article 50 transparency was not delayed.
Article 4 AI-literacy obligation takes effect for all providers and deployers, alongside the ban on unacceptable-risk practices.
Governance rules and obligations for general-purpose AI model providers start to apply.
Article 50 transparency obligations apply — left untouched by the Digital Omnibus — and national market-surveillance authorities gain formal powers to supervise and enforce the Article 4 AI-literacy duty.
The Digital Omnibus moved obligations for stand-alone (Annex III) high-risk systems from August 2026 to 2 December 2027.
High-risk AI embedded in regulated products (Annex I) comes into scope. Ongoing guidance keeps evolving — training content is refreshed quarterly.

Article 4 has applied since 2 February 2025: providers and deployers of AI systems must ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy in staff operating AI on their behalf. From 2 August 2026, national market-surveillance authorities have formal powers to supervise and enforce it. There is no prescribed syllabus or official EU certificate — organisations choose how to comply, and must be able to demonstrate it.
Enforced completion, graded assessment with an 80% pass mark, CPD accreditation (application in progress with an independent accreditor), and a QR-verifiable certificate per learner — plus an issuance log your organisation retains as an audit-ready evidence trail.
Continuing Professional Development accreditation: an independent accreditor (such as CPD UK or the CPD Standards Office) assesses the course's structure, objectives, materials and assessment methods. Learners earn CPD points — 2 for the staff course, 4 for the executive program — once accreditation is granted.
Not yet — our accreditation application is in progress with an independent CPD accreditor, and we say so plainly wherever it matters. Founding-cohort enrolments are protected: if accreditation is not granted by the committed date, founding seats are fully refundable. We'll announce the outcome on this page.
About two hours, self-paced across six modules. Modules must be completed in full and each quiz passed at 80% before the certificate is issued.

As a facilitated half-day session — in person or via Zoom/Teams — covering obligations, liability, governance structures and oversight duties. It carries 4 CPD points per participant once accreditation is granted.
The Digital Omnibus moved high-risk obligations to December 2027 and August 2028, but it did not move the Article 4 AI-literacy duty (enforceable from 2 August 2026) or Article 50 transparency. Course content is reviewed and refreshed quarterly against regulatory developments, so re-certification stays current.
